Iowa is bounded by the Mississippi River and Illinois to its eastern side, Missouri to its south, Nebraska and South Dakota to its west, and Minnesota and Wisconsin. Iowa, or “The Hawkeye State,” as it’s sometimes known, ranks 26th in the nation in land mass and 30th in population. Its humid continental climate allows for hot winters and cold summers—a little bit of something for everyone. Iowa homes for rent can be found throughout the state.
Some major cities rental include its capital city, Des Moines, Davenport, Sioux City, Cedar Rapids, and Waterloo. These cities comprise a large portion of the Iowa real estate market, but there are plenty of options for living in more rural communities as well.
Iowa is a largely agricultural state, producing essentials such as corn, soybeans, oats, cattle, hogs, and dairy products. Iowa also has several industries, including machinery, chemical products, publishing, food processing, and primary metals. You won’t want to miss out on great Iowa foreclosures, so be sure to include these on your house hunt in this state.
